Thank you for your interest in playing at the Red Willow Arts Coalition Summer Concert Series on the Douglas County Courthouse lawn. Due to the amount of requests, we ask that those interested fill out a Summer Concert Application. (See below). These applications will be reviewed by a committee of staff and community members. Submitted applications will be reviewed in the fall (October – December). Selections are made in January. Those who are selected will be contacted.
These concerts hold tremendous value for the community and have become one of the Lakes area’s most popular social gatherings. Friends and families gather on the lawn to picnic and listen to live music. our concerts have attracted audiences of 500. Concerts are free to the public and supported by sponsorships from local businesses.
Concerts are scheduled every Thursday evening from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Performances will run from 7:00 – 7:50. At that time we ask that you take a fifteen minute break so we may thank our sponsors and announce upcoming shows. Your second set will run aprox. 8:05 to 8:30.
All concerts are held outdoors. In case of inclement weather, the act will be canceled and the performers will receive 50% of agreed upon compensation.
It is the responsibility of the performer to provide the sound system, shelter, lights (August dates) and sound technician at no additional costs.
The Douglas County Courthouse has a power source for 110 volt 30 amp electrical outlets.
Song lyrics and content must be appropriate for all ages.
The Douglas County Courthouse property is smoke/alcohol free.
No pyrotechnics will be allowed during any part of the show.
